FACING THE HIDDEN TRUTH BEHIND THE DOOR

3The Bible and the Quran: Brief history and summary of their teachings

Our search for God who will upgrade our innate wisdom and help us find the ultimate truth has been supposedly narrowed down to two books of scripture: the Bible and the Quran. Many religious people who claim to have the truth have a habit of only reading their own scriptural books and throwing out every other one- this is not wisdom, this is just being religious and hypocritical. If you’re really interested in truth, you’d observe and study all required and applicable information, and not just hypocritically and selectively examining only those ones that already align with your rigid belief system just like science is doing with their principle of intentional omission of incorporeal causalities by which they hypocritically and ironically push God aside in their very search for God. Do you plan on following after such folly?

  • Most Christians have never read the Quran, yet they judge Islam and the Muslims
  • Most Muslims have never read the Bible, yet they judge Christianity and the Christians.

This is not wisdom but confusion, hypocrisy and self-delusion. This is why a brief history as well as a summarized teaching of both the Bible and the Quran will be laid out here, for every other thing we’ll learn henceforth might just be dependent upon these two books.

History of the Bible

The Bible is a book that never always used to be a book but used to be different separate scriptural writings that only became a collection of 66 books in 1885, but not after 14 books were taken out from the original 80 book collection first compiled in the period between the council of Nicaea (325 AD) and council of Trent (1545-1563) of the Roman Catholic Church.

The scriptures of the Bible were written over a space of 1,600 years:

  • By about 40 different men from various backgrounds: farmers, fishermen, a lawyer, prophets, kings and the rest.
  • And in 3 different languages: Aramaic, Hebrew and Greek.
  • And in 3 different continents: Africa, Asia and Europe.

And surprisingly, these 40 different men all seem to tell the same one story to the most spectacular level of accuracy.

This story speaks basically about the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus- the messiah to take away the sins of the world saving man from death and hell. The probability that all these men (most living before Jesus and some after him) came up with these stories can only be very slim and that’s if we want to be sincere.

Basic teachings of the Bible

The Bible tells a story of how God created man righteous and later on, man fell to sin and damnation, inheriting a sinful nature courtesy of the temptation of the devil. A sinful nature which subsequently made man worthy of death in hell.

The way for man to regain right standing with God according to the Bible was for him to:

  • Repent.
  • Ask for forgiveness.
  • Get forgiveness.
  • Sustain the forgiveness by doing righteous deeds of the law (whether Christians call it the mosaic law or the law of grace).
  • Plus remove that default sinful nature in him that he had introduced into his being by the first sin.

Man can personally and instantaneously achieve the first 4 steps to salvation but the very last one mentioned above is something man cannot do for himself and the impossibility of man to take away his sinful nature by himself ultimately kept him yet bound under condemnation to hell despite his repentance and good deeds.

God in his love then devised a plan to help mankind and made a promise of a child to be born- the Christ, who will redeem man back to him by dying for man to replace the damned and dying life of man (which was a working of his sinful nature) with his, so that man can escape the death of hell.

The child was to be divine- actually the only begotten son of God and it was the fact of him being begotten of God that qualified him to redeem man back to God, his name was to be Jesus. He was to be born through a line of God’s chosen people who were to be descended from Isaac- the son of Abraham’s wife, for Abraham had another son called Ishmael but from his maid- Hagar.

Jesus was finally born and eventually dies for man on a cross, resurrecting after 3 days to prove to the world how man was to live again after physical death and escape the death of hell. Today, Jesus is seen as the head of the church and the Christians are saved from hell primarily by believing in Jesus and in his sacrifice for them and by good works of the law which follows as a result of being saved- thereby sustaining their salvation.

History of the Quran

The original Quran is a book of 144 books, first officially put together 2 years after Muhamad died in 534 CE and called the Hafsah’s codex, but this book was destroyed by Uthman- the 3rd caliph of Islam in 667 CE just after the release of the new and official Uthmanic codex in about 653 CE canonized by the caliph- Uthman Ibn Affan (653-656). This second codex was said to be created with an aim to obtain uniformity in the text and to produce a standardized copy of the Quran. So that the official Quran all Muslims use today was put together at about 21 years after the death of Muhamad.

The whole of the Quran was said to be transmitted to Muhamad by an angel- Gabriel, and is said to contain in it, the words of Allah only.

Basic teachings of the Quran

The Quran says that God created man righteous and that man later fell to sin and damnation and worthiness of hell but without actually inheriting a sinful nature by this act of him falling to sin, so therefore didn’t really need any particular saving act to take away any damning consequence which this sinful nature would have caused, but had to regain right standing with God by:

  • Repenting.
  • Asking for forgiveness.
  • Getting forgiveness.
  • And keeping this forgiveness by doing righteous deeds of the law.

Nevertheless, the man called Jesus was regardless to be born, and was indeed born, but not so he could die for man, for man needed none to die for him. He was born therefore not as the only begotten son of God who would be divine but as a prophet to the people being a mere man like us. Unlike the Bible’s story, he wasn’t really born through a line of God’s chosen people though he was born to a son of Abraham. The God’s chosen people instead descended from the line of Ishmael and not Isaac- the two who were both sons of Abraham. Ishmael being the son of Hagar- who unlike in the Bible is also Abraham’s wife here, and Isaac- the son of Abraham’s other wife- Sarah

A Jesus finally died on the cross but that Jesus was never the real prophet of God but one whom God used to replace him so he (the real Jesus) would not see death in such a gruesome manner by his enemies who wanted to kill him, and this Jesus never resurrected from his death after 3 days either.

Today, Muhamad- the last prophet sent by God is seen as the seal of the prophets and the Muslims continue to gain salvation as always, the old way: specifically by believing in God and in his prophets and believing that Muhamad is God's last messenger and finally, by doing good works of the law.

Randomly believing things don’t make things true; Don’t just believe- think

Remember that:

  • Truth can only be known by observation and study and not by right.
  • Observation and study requires intelligence.
  • Intelligence is perfected by conscience to produce wisdom.
  • Wisdom is our innate divine guide to finding truth.
  • And this wisdom is a thing of the mind.

Therefore, we are going to be engaging our minds and using wisdom (our innate divine guide) to test these self-acclaimed scriptures to see if the uncreated God is truly behind any one of them, both of them or none of them.

Again, anyone who discourages you from handling religion with wisdom but with blind faith alone is of course infected with a virus from the matrix and is scheming to also infect and deceive you by dumbing down your intelligence- again we say, be wise.

Note that our innate God-given guide to finding truth of course has two faces- intelligence and conscience. So, wisdom says that we should:

  1. First apply an intelligence test on the two books.
  2. And secondly, follow up with a conscience test before finally taking a look at our observation.
